We have needy children ranging from 1year – 13 years. Some of these children were living under stressful conditions until the school came up with this NGO called Love and Care for the Child ministries.

The school feeds, cloths and caters for their education. The children in this school include children of prisoners, as u can see on the blog....any support from you will be a big gift for them......................

Abraham Christine

2. Abraham & Christine had just arrived in Kampala.

Abraham is a nine year old boy and his sister Christine is eleven. Their father was sentenced to death six years ago. These two with 4 other siblings are living in a rural are with their mother who is semi-literate.

This ten year old boy was living with a step grandmother at the time we got him. His duty was to look after goats and fetch water from the stream for the old woman.

He had never been to school at age nine. When we went to pick him, he had no clothes apart from some strings in the shape of a pair of shorts? We had to buy clothes from the nearest trading centre for Him to travel to Kampala. After just one year in school Isaiah is proving that despite his poor background, his brain is not poor he challenged every one in his class and immerged number one।

Life is now different for Abraham and Christine at Early Learning School.

STORIES OF PRISONER’S CHILDREN

Prisoners’ children take a big share in the fate of their parents. A good number of them come to hear about their parents when someone is insulting them; relating them to the killer parent or to whatever crime the parents may have committed.

The unfortunate situation is where children find themselves in the hands of complainants for guardians. Vengeance is unleashed on them like in the case of Ruth and Shafiki.

Below are some of the prisoners’ children I consider fortunate. Although they are not as well provided for as those with parents, they are in school and have the basic requirements a child needs.

At the time of her arrest, Shafiki mother was pregnant with the baby boy. She gave birth after a few moths she gave birth and later they had to separate because of the age limit for children staying with incarcerated parents.

Baby Shafiki was handed over to relatives but the time we picked him, he was living with an old woman in a single room, which doubles as a commercial place for local brew. This means most of the time the place has people who are drunk and the old woman has very little time for the boy this very home is where the mother is said to have committed. the crime.

Shafiki’s mother was sentenced to death about ten years ago.
